Run to the Rock

In a world where Christians flip-flop on their position based on the consensus, and then argue loudly to convince everyone else to adopt their new position, remember God is unmovable!

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” (6) “He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.” (7)” In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” (8)” Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” (Psalm 62:5-8)

In a world where Christian leaders seek to change the very foundations of Christianity simply because ‘society has changed,’ remember God is unchangeable!

“For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” (Malachi 3:6)

In a world where the entire ‘religious scene’ appears broken – many pastors no longer pastor (Jeremiah 2, 10, 12, 23), many preachers no longer preach the Word of God (John 17:17), many Christians refuse to attend services in person due to inconvenience (Hebrews 10:25, Psalm 122:1), and so many who name the name of Christ live in complete disregard of His commands (John 14:15) – remember God is unbreakable!

“If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; (32) Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. (33) Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. (34) My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” (Psa. 89:31-34)

So, since God is unmovable, unchangeable, and unbreakable, run to the Rock and follow only Him! “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. (2) From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (Psalm 61:1-2)

“He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” (Deuteronomy 32:4)

“There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.” (1 Samuel 2:2)

“For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?” (2 Samuel 22:32)

“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (Psalm 18:2)

“In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” (Psalm 62:7)
