What Type of Builder Are You?

The Lord is looking for builders in His house, not destroyers or discouragers. What kind of builder are you?

“So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.” (Nehemiah 4:6)

1. One who won’t build?

Have you decided that you are too important or too “used up” to serve the Lord?

“but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.” (Nehemiah 3:5)

2. One who builds by example?

Have you decided that you and your family will serve the Lord?

“And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.” (Nehemiah 3:12)

3. One who sees no difference between leading and building?

Have you decided to put aside your title for His testimony?

“After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and to the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty.” (Nehemiah 3:16)

4. One who builds for the greater cause?

Have you decided to serve the Lord with your whole heart, simply because it is right and He is worthy?

“After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired the other piece, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.” (Nehemiah 3:20)
